Let’s be fashion friends. Become a fan on facebook Prettymefair.com.I Hate Dry Skin….especially Eczema!
“So now what?” you say…”What else can I do besides use the creams and prescriptions my doctor gives me?”Let’s first see what eczema is.
Eczema is is not fun or pretty. It occurs when the skin becomes inflamed or irritated due to allergies. The most common type of eczema is known as atopic dermatitis, or atopic eczema.
“According to the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, the prevalence of atopic eczema is increasing and affects 9 to 30% of the U.S. population.” (web MD.com) Even though it most often occurs in infants and children, who usually will grow out of it by the age of two, it sometimes will come and go throuh adulthood.
The Problem:
Extremely itchy, dry, scaly, rough skin. The Solution:
Here’s what PrettyMeFair.com raves about and recommends….”Fragrance Free Satin Hands“. Why? Because it really does work! It will not cure your eczema, but it will temporarily take away some of the most common annoying symptoms such as, extremely dry, itchy, rough and scaly skin. The Fragrance Free Satin Hands can be used anywhere below the face. If you have eczema on your face you’ll want to scroll down and read “Heal My Face“.Here’s How To Use It:
Step 1: Use the Fragrance-Free Satin Hands® Hand Softener to help maintain skin’s natural moisture. Do not rinse off yet.
Step 2: Add one pump of Fragrance-Free Satin Hands® Satin Smoothie® Hand Scrub to Step 1 to Cleanse and exfoliate then rinse with warm (not hot) water.
Step 3: Apply a small amount of Fragrance-Free Satin Hands® Hand Cream for instant moisturization for up to 24 hours. Reapply if needed.
Again you can use this on anywhere except the face where you are having an eczema reaction. Works wonders for men too! This can be used on infants (6 month and older) and children, but Please check with your pediatrician first!
Try it out with no risk, as in if you don’t like how it’s working for you, exchange or return it, or give it away to someone who will just love it’s smoothing effects for body care.
If you do in fact love how it works PrettyMeFair.com wants to hear about it!! Write us and we’ll feature your comments on our blog. We would love to see your before & after 30 days pics too (hand, elbows, neck only please, as this is “G” rated site, and we believe in the modesty policy.) =)
Heal My Face from Eczema:
The face is by far the worst place to have any skin irritation, but eczema, because of it’s nature, can be particularly terrible. Here’s what you can do to soften, and heal your face.Step 1: Use a mild fragrance free, suitable for sensitive skin, gentle, non-comedogenic, tested for allergy creamy cleanser.
Recommended – Mary Kay Gentle Cleansing Cream
Step 2: Use a mask twice a week to gentle exfoliate off the dead dry skin.
Recommended – Mary Kay Moisture Rich Mask 1
Step 3 During the Day: Use a combination sunscreen with sheer foundation to protect and even out your sensitive skin while it heals.
Recommended – Mary Kay Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 15
Step 3 At Night: Use a calming and rich moisturizer to hydrate and heal while you sleep.
Recommended - For Dry Skin Mary Kay Intense Moisturizing Cream
Recommended – For Normal/Oily Skin Mary Kay Oil-Free Hydrating Gel

Help!!! My Skin Is Super Dry!
It’s getting colder and that means dryer skin for most women. When the weather changes most women do not change their skin care routine accordingly, which can lead to excessive dryness or even oiliness in some. Here are 5 Tips to treating & preventing Super Dry Skin.
1) Exfoliate on a regular basis:
Exfoliating the dead skin cells will keep your pores open and keep your skin from looking dull. This will also bring oxygen to the skins surface promoting healthy circulation and dewy fresh look. Try this great 2 Step Microdermabrasion Set to use at home twice a week.2) Use a good moisturizer daily:
There are several wonderful moisturizers out there. PrettyMeFair.com’s fav pick is the oil free, fragrance free, Mary Kay Timewise Moisturizer (either normal/dry or combination/oily formula). This will give your skin all day hydration without feeling heavy, greasy, or sticky.3) Drink Water:
Most women don’t drink enough water. You gets busy with other things, and before you know it the day is gone and it’s too late to try and down four more glasses before bedtime. Try to drink at least six cups a day, and if you skin is super dry stay away from soda and caffeine, which can dehydrate your skin.4) Eat More Fruits and Veggies:
This is a good rule in general, but eating more fruits and veggies will help hydrate your skin. You’ll get some extra water out of the food an the extra does of Vitamins A, C, and E will keep your skin looking younger, fresher, and more supple. (read about 5 foods your skin will love here)5) Use Sunscreen & Night Solution:
Again PrettyMeFair.com says, “go with Mary Kay skin care,” because it works. Using a minimum SPF of 25 on the face every day is so important. You must protect your skin from environmental damage and from harmful UVA/UVB from the sun. Not wearing 25 SPF Sunscreen will lead to more wrinkles, dryness, and possibly skin cancer. Use a Night Solution to repair damaged skin cells while you sleep. When you sleep is when the body is repairing itself. There you have it. Use these simple tips and your skin will be hydrated, fresher looking, smooth, and healthy.

Hi Ladies,
So I've been getting a lot of questions about what exactly is a "Metro-Girl" and what is the difference between that and the "Natural Girl" style. Let's start with the "Metro Girl".
Mostly it's about the amount of color you apply with your makeup (if you wear makeup). Also the Metro Girl styles generally center around the on-trend fashion forward color looks that bloom out of the fashion world, and by that I mean, apparel, shoes, jewlery, ect. If you are a Metro Chic girl then you probably love to be a trend setter from head to toe. Your makeup reflects your personality. They are usually bold colors and considered to be High Glamor. (See below)
Now Let us take a look at the "Natural Girl". This is a style that I would call French Chic, meaning, your clothes, your manner of carrying yourself, and your personality is your 'color' of choice. Adding a hint of actual color is optional for the Natural Girl. You can be in a tee-shirt and pair of jeans, apply a tiny bit of mineral powder and lipgloss, and still be just as beautiful as the woman who is all glamed up for a night at the theatre. (see below)
So there you have it in a nut shell. There is more I can say about this especially when it comes to the professional looks, holiday, or special occasions, but I'll save that for another time.
Have fun, and Keep Smiling,
Leah
